Delicious breakfast spot in Dayton. Open 7-2 daily. Limited seating but there is counter seating and picnic tables outside. We sat at the counter. One very busy counter and table person handling all tables, counter, outdoor and take out, but she handled everything even keeping our coffee cups full with a smile. It took a bit to get our order but it was hot and fresh and delicious. Prices have risen as everywhere so that's how it goes. We shared the spinach, mushroom, onion and Swiss cheese omelette with English muffin and home fries. We also had a side of bacon. The portions are huge so we shared and they happily split our order on two plates which we appreciated. The food is so good and the ambiance is a small town diner vibe with roadrunners everywhere. It's located on Hwy 50 on the western edge of Dayton. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed.
Discovered this gem of a cafe just driving by on a return trip from Carson City to Silver Springs and decided to stop for lunch. What a lovely place. Friendly, great service, excellent food. This is going to be one of our favorite stops when we need to drive into the city.

The food was absolutely amazing! Ordered their homemade corn beef hash and finished my whole plate! Definitely recommend this warm environment and great food!
Roadrunner was clean and the upgrades to the restaurant look nice. Shannon is a wonderful and friendly server. She definitely makes the visit worth the time. Today I ordered the bacon breakfast burrito and substituted fries for the potatoes. The burrito was ok. There was very little bacon and the burrito was overall bland. The burrito was large in size. I was craving fries and so I was sad when most of my fries were extremely undercooked to the point of raw. I have heard that the food is better when one of the guys are cooking instead of the lady that was today so I hope I will experience one of them cooking on my next visit.
Breakfast was very good, Shannon, our waitress is the best. Coffee very good. Sausage particularly good. Still would like to see new roomier booths and think it is strange that there are NO prices on their menus. Reminder....cash only.
4.5 Stars Loved the atmosphere here as it is a small diner! Been looking for this type of place as the food is usually more natural. Friend had a Buffalo Chicken Salad. Tasted a piece of his chicken and I would have to say it was amazing! If they have fried chicken like that I'm game. I had a patty melt with cottage cheese. Not sure why yet it seemed to lack flavor. Cannot pinpoint why, it could have been me? Talked to other friends who are local and they really like their food too. They are really attentive to service and I really like the feel and vibe of this place!
